Welcome to Sova Books. We are an Australian-based book publishing company dedicated to producing high quality books that celebrate different cultures across the globe.
Our wonderful debut title, the cookbook Taste of Ukraine: rustic cuisine from the heart of Ukraine, is just the first of many planned Sova Books publications.
The name ‘Sova’ means owl in Ukraine, where, as in many cultures around the world, the owl is held in high regard, symbolising knowledge and wisdom.

If books can be described as new worlds that are to be discovered by the readers, and if writers are the gods who created these worlds, then the illustrators are the wizards who draw maps and clues and signs for the readers to utterly enjoy their discovery adventures.
We are fortunate to work with great wizards in the field. Each of our illustrators has his or her own style and approach to work. Many of them have diverse cultural background and live in different corners of the world. This diversity only benefits the books the illustrators work on.
